What is ISO 15189:2022 accreditation?
ISO 15189:2022 is an international standard promoting patient welfare and confidence in the quality and competence of medical laboratories. ISO 15189:2022 also applies to point-of-care-testing (POCT). [1]The standard provides a framework for continuous improvement, allowing laboratories to identify and address issues, develop their management systems, minimize errors and waste and ensure consistency in services provided.

Remote troubleshooting improves device uptime across a multi-site laboratory
The laboratory needed a fast, simple, standardized POC solution that would support compliance. With AQURE, staff can remotely recalibrate blood gas analyzers, improve their availability and manage training and quality control.
Radiometer devices are connected to the cloud and can be operated remotely. Troubleshooting can also be conducted remotely, reducing any related travel to the care departments. This is particularly useful for devices located at the point of care which for us, could be as far as 30 kilometers from our main site. This also increases device uptime, especially for users, in quite a transparent way.

Transforming a central laboratory's workflow with centralized management
The peer QC module has simplified daily and monthly quality controls while freeing up time for other tasks. This has prompted the team to scale up their use of AQURE to further improve efficiency.
Assistant Chief Scientist Mr. Akito Kawai, of the hospital’s Central Laboratory Department, explains the advantages of peer QC for his team.
Before we had AQURE, checking instruments’ status daily took almost half a day in and of itself. Now we can use AQURE, everyone is saying how much easier it is.

Implementing AQURE helps maintain POCT quality standards
POC Coordinator Paloma Oliver Sáez uses AQURE to gather data needed for management and quality assurance purposes, and to ensure full traceability.
AQURE is an essential tool that supports us in our day-to-day POCT management, not only for our Radiometer devices, but also for those from third parties. It is very important to us, and our laboratory team uses it frequently throughout the day.
